Shopping At AC Lens

In the old days, you'd wear the same pair of contact lenses for years and had to be extremely diligent in cleaning your lenses daily to avoid eye infections. I know of someone who almost went blind because of contacts. On my part, I had to stop wearing contact lenses years ago because I had used them longer than the recommended length of time for years. I wore soft lenses (not the extended wear lenses) for more than 10 hours a day for months (or years?) and my eyes did not get enough oxygen. The blood capillaries were creeping towards my iris so the optician told me to stop wearing contacts or risk going blind.

I do miss wearing contacts as I really hate glasses. I hate the weight resting on my nose, the fact that glasses and dangling earrings which I love make me look plain idiotic when worn together and that I look awful in glasses. Still, the thought of losing my eyesight for vanity isn't worth it, which is why I never did consider Lasik. I hope to be able to wear contact lenses again one day. If you are wearing contacts, do care for your lenses diligently. Wash your hands with soap and water before you put them on. After use, wash your lenses thoroughly. Eye infections usually happen due to poor lens care or badly formulated / contaminated lens care solutions. For example, users of Complete Moisture Plus are at least 7 times more likely to develop Acanthamoeba keratitis than users of other lens care solutions.

That said, disposable lenses are a wiser choice. Especially those which you wear for only one day and discard right away. At least the deposits which are left behind by even the best lens care solutions don't have a chance to accumulate on these disposable lenses.

Back to AC Lens. This is a store that sells both contact lenses, glasses and sunglasses. Get your prescription from your optician, then go to them to buy your contact lenses or other vision care supplies. You'd save substantially that way. AC Lens sells contact lenses, contact lens accessories, and other vision care products for less!

Another fun thing about contact lenses is that you can use the colored ones to change eye color. If you've longed to have blue eyes since you were a kid, you can now have blue eyes by wearing blue contact lenses, or green, or violet, or any color you fancy. Here's where you can get color contacts
